This is a gorgeous specimen of Lyriocrinus from the Rochester Shale of New York. The crinoid is well positioned on a large, rounded matrix plate that measures approximately 6.0" X 7.0". The crinoid has great plate structure. The biserial arms are splayed out to create a beautiful display. Some of the tiny pinnules of the arms are exhibited. The crinoid has a long, articulated stem attached to the crown. The crinoid is 3-dimensional. It has great color and contrast. This is a very beautiful display specimen of Lyriocrinus from the Silurian.
