This is a nice double blastoid specimen from the Lower Burlington Formation of Missouri. The star-shaped blastoid is Orophocrinus stelliformis. This is an unusual blastoid and highly collectable. This specimen is large for the species. The other melon-shaped blastoid is Cryptoblastus melo. It exhibits fine detail. The ambulacra and paired spiracles are very distinct. Both specimens display the top view. The off-white blastoids contrast extremely well with the orangish-brown matrix. The matrix also contains assorted crinoid fragments. This is a very fine specimen of two different blastoids from the Misssissippian of Missouri.
