This is a very large specimen of Uperocrinus pyriformis from the Upper Burlington Formation of Missouri. The crinoid is totally inflated. The plate structure is very nice. The smooth, large plates of the cup contrast with the smaller, very nodose plates of the tegmen. The arm attachment points are quite evident. A specimen of a blastoid, Globoblastus norwoodi, is also present on the slab. This blastoid also shows good detail. The invaginated base, the very thin ambulacra, and the single spiracles are all displayed. The fossils have good color and contrast. This is a very nice association specimen from the Upper Burlington.
