This is a very nice crinoid/blastoid association piece from the Lower Burlington of Missouri. The crinoid is a super, extra large specimen of Abatocrinus subaequalis (right). It is totally inflated and displays great plate structure. The blastoid (left) is an inflated specimen of Cryptoblastus melo. The ambulacra are quite evident. The paired spiracles are nicely displayed. Both of these fossils are white in color and contrast well with the orangish-brown matrix. There are also some other assorted crinoid fragments on the piece. This is a nice double echinoderm specimen from Missouri.
