This is an extremely rare flexible crinoid from Crawfordsville, Indiana. This is an excellent specimen of Parichthyocrinus subovatus. The specimen is extremely 3-dimensional. It looks like a "ball" sitting on the natural piece of matrix. It is very tightly articulated and displays great plate structure. The arms are complete and fold inward at the top. It has good color and contrasts well with the matrix. Doug acquired this specimen in April of 1985, and it has been in his collection ever since. This is an exceptional specimen of a very rare Parichthyocrinus.
