This is one of the most articulated Macrocrinus mundulus that we have ever seen. This specimen is from Crawfordsville, Indiana. Doug prepared this specimen in October of 1985, and it has been in his collection ever since. The specimen is very 3-dimensional. It has great color and contrast. The crinoid displays the long anal tube extending above the tops of the arms. The arms are all complete and the fine pinnules are quite evident. The plate structure of the inflated cup is superb. The long articulated stem extends all the way to the cirri at the bottom. The specimen is aesthetically centered on a rectangular piece of matrix. This Macrocrinus is simply "as good as it gets".
