This is a very fine specimen of Dizygocrinus gorbyi from the Warsaw Formation of Illinois. The crinoid has good color and contrast. It is well centered on a rectangular slab of matrix. The crinoid has wonderful detail. The plate structure of the cup is great. The arms are tightly articulated and display the fine pinnules. The very top of the anal tube extends above the arms. The long attached stem makes this a very aesthetic crinoid specimen.
