From the DeRosear Collection, we are proud to present an excellent specimen of Hypselocrinus hoveyi from Indiana. This inadunate crinoid has extremely long, slender arms. Usually, on this genus of crinoid, several (or all) of the arms are broken off short. In this specimen, the five arms that are showing are all extremely long and of equal length. The crinoid has fine detail. The plate structure of the cup is superb. The fine pinnules of the arms are evident. The crinoid has a well articulated stem attached. The specimen is well centered on a rectangular slab. This is a wonderful specimen of this rare crinoid.
