This is a very nice specimen of Decadocrinus tumidulus from Crawfordsville, Indiana. The crinoid is centered on a squared piece of matrix. The color and contrast are great. The crinoid has superb detail. The plate structure of the cup is fine. The stoutly-pinnulated arms are complete all the way to the very tips. The top of the anal sac is exposed between the arms. A touch of stem completes this fine crinoid specimen. The specimen has been prepared so that the crinoid is 3-dimensional. This is a wonderful Decadocrinus crown from this famous collecting site.
