This is a beautiful specimen of Paradichocrinus planus from the famous site at Crawfordsville, Indiana. Usually, this species of crinoid has part of the arms broken off. This specimen displays a complete set of finely-pinnulated arms. The crinoid exhibits very nice detail. The plate structure of the cup and arms is very fine. The crinoid has a long, articulated stem attached. The fossil is well centered on a rectangular block of siltstone. This is an excellent specimen of Paradichocrinus from the Mississippian.
