This is a nice example of crinoid calyces from the Burlington Formation of Missouri. The large calyx is Uperocrinus pyriformis. This is a huge robust specimen that shows the plate structure very well. The smaller calyx is Aorocrinus sp. This specimen shows the arm attachment points and the anal opening. The fossils are well centered on the matrix block. The white crinoids contrast nicely with the orange matrix. A few other crinoid fragments are also present on the slab. This is a fine specimen of crinoid calyces from the Burlington Limestone.
