Recently acquired from an old collection, we are happy to offer this example of Isocrinus oregonensis from the Oligocene of Oregon. The crinoid exhibits good detail. The specimen displays the cup of the crinoid and some of the pinnulated uniserial arms. One great feature of this specimen is the long pentagonal stem with many, many cirri present. This crinoid is preserved by calcite and is not the typical mold and cast preservation that is usually seen at this location. This is a very rare specimen of a Tertiary crinoid.
