This is a fabulous display slab of crinoids from Crawfordsville, Indiana. The center crinoid is Barycrinus rhombiferus. This is a rare crinoid from this locality. This crinoid , with its large splayed arms, is very eye-appealing. The crinoid to the right is Cyathocrinites harrodi. This crinoid has good plate stucture and excellent detail. The anal sac is quite evident on this specimen. On most specimens of Cyathocrinites, the anal sac is hidden under the arms. The Cyathocrinites has long slender arms, in sharp contrast to the arms of the Barycrinus. The crinoid to the left is Sarocrinus varsouvensis. This is also a relatively uncommon crinoid for this locality. This crinoid shows the plate structure very well and has some stem present. The crinoids are presented on a squared slab. The color and contrast are great. This is a very displayable slab of Crawfordsville crinoids.
