This is a fabulous Paradichocrinus planus from Indiana. This crinoid is unbelievably difficult to get with all the arms intact. Usually one or more arms are broken off or missing. This specimen is very dark and contrasts extremely well with the matrix. It is 3-dimensional and has great detail. The long, feathery, pinnulated arms are exceptional. The crinoid is nicely centered on an almost square piece of matrix. Also, there is a juvenile Cyathocrinites multibrachiatus with stem lying next to the Paradichocrinus. From the DeRosear Collection, this Paradichocrinus is as good as they get. This is an outstanding specimen from Crawfordsville, Indiana.
