This may be one of the rarest crinoid pieces we have ever offered for sale. It has been many years since we have seen a crinoid from the Keasy Formation. This was recently acquired from a major crinoid collection. The crinoids are preserved by calcite and are not cast and mold preservation like some of the crinoids from this area. The almost-black crinoids contrast very nicely with the light gray matrix. The plate structure is well defined and the crinoids show good pinnulation of the arms. This is a great specimen for the crinoid enthusiast.
