This is an unusual crinoid. It is a Megistocrinus from Iowa. This is a Devonian crinoid, much rarer than most Mississippian crinoids. This specimen has EXCELLENT color and detail. It came from a major crinoid collection. It is a fine example of a Devonian crinoid calyx from the Midwest.
