This is a very unusual echinoderm fossil. It is a crinoid "Float Bulb" from Oklahoma. This specimen was acquired from the famous Chance Collection. It is believed to have been used to help keep ancient Crinoids float in the ocean.. This specimen is large and has the bulb shape intact. This is a nice example of an extinct crinoid float bulb from Oklahoma. (Comes with Dr. Chance's original reference photo and ID notes.)
