This is a very nice example of a free-floating crinoid. This is Saccocoma pectinata from the world-famous Solnhofen Limestone of Germany. The crinoid exhibits the small cup and many sinuous, pinnulated arms in beautiful fashion. This comatulid crinoid is natural, not darkened, and is wonderfully presented on the semi-squared plate of lithographic limestone. This is a very nice example of this stemless crinoid from the Jurassic Sea.
A Certificate of Authenticity from EXTINCTIONS is included with this specimen.
